Uruguay Missions 2013

Our Father/Son Mission Trip to Uruguay

Fund Raising

Does anyone out there enjoy fundraising?  I know people who make careers out of this, but I have no clue how they get out of bed every morning!

I am learning a good bit from my fund raising experience this trip:

1. It’s also important to give!  Several mission trip fund raising letters came to the house from others going on trips.  I have to admit that my first thought was, “After John Mark and I have raised all the funds we need, THEN I will give the these guys!”

The Holy Spirit quickly convicted me that what I was doing was worrying and controlling.  If I was to trust Him to bring in the funds for our trip, I had to be willing to be used to fund someone else’s mission trip.  The moment I made the commitment to give to those individuals, I literally had two people donate to our trip.

Why am I always suprised when God is true to His word?  Which leads me to my second lesson thus far:

2. Expect God to be true to His word!  God is always faithful!  He has never failed me.  I will admit that He has failed to deliver according to the way that I initially thought He should deliver, but He has never failed to be true to His word!

3. Giving is Fun!  I am truly honored and thrilled to help those I have been able to partner with on their mission trips.  And if giving is fun for me, then it’s probably fun for other’s as well.

Soooooo, if you want to have some fun- click on the donate page and support John Mark and I as we prepare for our trip to Uruguay.  We are only about 1/4 of the way to our goal, but I know that God will provide!

Whether you can give financially or not, PLEASE commit to pray for us.  We are going to an area of the world where there is a good bit of witchcraft and demonic activity, and we need all the prayers now as we prepare as well as while we are gone!

Thank you in advance for your partnership!

In Christ,

Johnny
